Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to software engineering teams to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  3. Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide insights into the technical aspects of project planning and execution.
  4. Code Quality and Security Assurance: Implement and enforce coding standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, secure, and maintainable code. Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to development teams.
  5. Development Practices: Collaborate with multiple teams to define and champion best practices for software development, including version control, continuous integration, and deployment processes. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement process improvements.
  6. Application Design Oversight: Provide leadership in the design of software applications, ensuring alignment with application, solution, and enterprise architecture standards, business goals, and scalability requirements. Collaborate with project teams to review and approve technical designs, providing guidance on optimal implementation approaches.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background required.
  2. 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on application design required.
  3. 4+ years of experience with one or more of the following: JavaScript, Java, APIs, Angular, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, Python required.
  4. 2+ years of experience leading software engineering teams within agile development and frameworks required.
  5. Excellent leadership and communication skills at leadership, peer, and team level required.
  6. Ability to balance strategic thinking with problem-solving and hands-on technical contributions in highly collaborative environments required.
  7. Ability to stay abreast of new trends in security, automation, testing, CI/CD, and coding practices and champion them within the team.
  8. 8+ years of experience with more than one of the following: JavaScript, Java, Angular, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, XML, JSON, Python.
  9. 5+ years of experience in open-source frameworks (i.e. Spring Boot, Bootstrap, Angular, React).
  10. 4+ years of experience in Rest API development and technologies (i.e. Confluent Kafka, KSQL, Kong, JSON, Swagger).
  11. 3+ years of experience in stateless design and containerization (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes).
  12. 5+ years of experience in Relational and NoSQL databases (i.e. SQL Server, Mongo).
