Job Summary

Summit GM is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues, ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test and diagnose automotive systems and components to identify issues and recommend repairs
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications to ensure quality and safety
  • Estimate parts and labor costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, providing accurate and transparent pricing to customers
  • Perform scheduled maintenance services to ensure vehicles are running efficiently and safely
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements, providing exceptional customer service and support
Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the automotive service industry
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engine repair, 4-wheel drive, electrical and electronic systems, diagnostics, brake systems, fuel and emission systems, ignition and electrical systems, and automatic transmission
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
