This role involves supporting the entire deal life-cycle by ensuring precise and prompt preparation of settlements, issuance of invoices, and thorough review of settlement transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process incoming trading invoices efficiently.
- Ensure accuracy and relevance of invoices due for payment.
- Distribute payable invoice amounts among various trading desks and responsible parties.
- Cross-check payable invoice data against trading system records and estimates.
- Oversee and facilitate the approval process for invoices awaiting payment.
- Guarantee timely dispatch of payable invoices for payment processing.
- Generate sales invoices based on directives from desk operators and senior team members.
- Confirm transaction details and tax considerations prior to invoice issuance.
- Record sales invoices created in alternate systems.
- Track accounts receivable and report any discrepancies to relevant departments.
- Provide essential invoice-related information to other teams as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of three years of experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable commercial invoicing processes.
- Proven experience with invoicing related to vessels, barges, and railcars is essential.
- Familiarity with cargo or commodity invoicing is required.
