Casual Short-Term Pilot Position

About the Role

Forest Protection Limited is seeking a qualified Project Pilot to join our team on a casual, short-term basis. As a Project Pilot, you will be responsible for operating assigned aircraft in accordance with our Company Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned aircraft in accordance with FPL's Company Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform all key job duties and any other assigned by the Flight Operations Management team from time to time
  • Adhere to instructions issued by officers of the Department of Natural Resources on fire suppression or instructions from the base manager when assigned to aerial application projects.
  • Complete required pre-flight and post-flight paperwork in a timely and thorough manner
  • Report all items requiring maintenance on the aircraft as soon as possible
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the aircraft at all times

Requirements

  • Possess a Commercial Pilot License - Fixed wing
  • Have obtained at least 1000 hours of total time and 100hrs multi-engine PIC
  • Experience in a Piper Aerostar, Cessna Caravan, or aircraft equipped with a Garmin G1000NXI is an asset

Operational Requirements

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Have a valid passport
  • Have a modern smartphone with an up-to-date operating system capable of running secure company communication apps
  • Have CSA approved footwear
