Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of heavy equipment. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication and tire replacement
  • Collaborate with other mechanics to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Diploma of Professional Studies in heavy mechanic/diesel mechanic preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance
  • 3 years' experience in troubleshooting hydraulic and electronic systems
  • Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification (inter-provincial seal preferred)
Physical Abilities
  • Regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel, talk or hear, and smell
  • Frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and occasionally sit, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance
  • Must be capable of heavy lifting and moving parts up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis
