Position Overview

The Medical Affairs Specialist will act as a key internal resource to support the U.S. team focused on Nemolizumab. This role involves developing and nurturing professional relationships with external stakeholders, including physicians and healthcare providers, to deliver comprehensive medical and scientific support for Nemolizumab in designated areas. The Specialist will ensure that healthcare professionals, clinical investigators, and professional organizations receive timely and compliant scientific information.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify and engage key opinion leaders to build a network of experts.
  2. Facilitate the identification and development of regional, national, and international external experts and influencers in support of Nemolizumab.
  3. Design and implement engagement plans for key opinion leaders.
  4. Develop and execute plans for key opinion leaders and institutions within the assigned geography.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify opportunities for developing clinical guidelines.
  6. Execute metrics as required by the U.S. medical affairs strategy.
  7. Gather and communicate medical insights from scientific exchanges to inform medical affairs strategies.
  8. Implement a comprehensive disease awareness plan by serving as an educational resource for healthcare providers.
  9. Provide detailed information on drug mechanisms and emerging clinical data to healthcare providers in a compliant manner.
  10. Act as a liaison to healthcare professionals and advocacy groups.
  11. Support patient advocacy and educational initiatives.
  12. Engage with healthcare professionals to identify research opportunities.
  13. Facilitate data generation activities aligned with Galderma's strategic objectives.
  14. Participate in scientific congresses, prepare summaries, and present insights to internal stakeholders.
  15. Stay informed on developments in relevant dermatological conditions through ongoing literature review.
  16. Conduct training sessions for both external and internal audiences.
  17. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines in all interactions.
  18. Support the planning and execution of advisory boards and collaborate with physician experts.

Qualifications

  1. Doctorate degree with a minimum of 2 years in Medical Affairs; Master's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  2. Preferred qualifications include Pharm.D., Ph.D., PA, or NP; other doctoral degrees may be considered.
  3. Experience in clinical practice or research, ideally 3+ years.
  4. Background in Dermatology or Immunology is preferred.
  5. Experience with biologics or product launches is advantageous.
  6. Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills are essential.
  7. Ability to navigate various technical platforms effectively.
  8. Understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other regulatory principles is crucial.
  9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  10. Demonstrated scientific and clinical knowledge.
  11. Proven ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently.
  12. Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record of building relationships with medical professionals.
  13. Willingness to travel extensively as required.
