Accounting Clerk

At Teixeira Accounting Firm Inc., we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts. You will also be responsible for maintaining general ledgers and financial statements, as well as preparing tax returns and trial balances. If you have a strong understanding of bookkeeping systems and are able to work independently, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities:

* Maintain accurate financial records and prepare cheques for payroll
* Reconcile accounts and maintain general ledgers and financial statements
* Prepare tax returns and trial balances
* Post journal entries and prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports

Requirements:

* College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
* 1 to less than 7 months of experience
* Strong understanding of bookkeeping systems
* Ability to work independently

Work Environment:

* 32 hours per week
* Permanent position
* Work Language: English
