About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team at ECO-BUILD CONSTRUCTION. As a Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply coats of plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and even finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering, including removing old plaster and debris
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim to add decorative touches to our builds
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to ensure a strong bond
  • Work at heights and outdoors, often in various locations, to complete plastering tasks
Work Environment and Conditions
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure, to meet project deadlines
  • Handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding role
  • Work in a team environment, collaborating with other tradespeople to complete projects
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in plastering or a related trade
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment
