About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team at Lovely Renovation Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing various types of floor coverings, including carpeting, hardwood floors, and resilient floor coverings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Floors: Inspect surfaces to be covered, measure and mark them as needed, and prepare floors for installations.
  • Install Floor Coverings: Measure, cut, and install carpeting, hardwood floors, and resilient floor coverings.
  • Remove Existing Floor Coverings: Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants to ensure a smooth installation process.
  • Employ Equipment: Use knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting and perform direct glue-down carpet installations.
Work Environment

As a Floor Covering Installer, you will work in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial locations. You will be exposed to dust and odors, and may be required to work in confined spaces.

Requirements
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina, as you will be handling heavy loads and working in a physically demanding environment.
  • Attention to Detail: You must be able to distinguish between colors and have good hand-eye coordination.
  • Communication Skills: You will work with clients and colleagues, so excellent interpersonal skills and judgment are essential.
