Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a proactive, strategic, and results-oriented professional for the position of Cybersecurity Operations Analyst.

In this role, reporting to the Section Head - RG Operational Technology Cyber Security, you will play a pivotal role within the Cybersecurity team by monitoring and analyzing security threats, as well as implementing remediation strategies. This includes generating reports, developing playbooks, and ensuring adherence to cybersecurity policies.

Leverage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and other relevant tools to identify and investigate threats within the OPG information technology and systems landscape.

Conduct thorough analysis of application, host, and network logs to detect incidents related to insecure configurations and vulnerabilities.

Utilize your comprehensive understanding of OPG's Business Unit networks, applications, and external connections to deliver effective cybersecurity services.

Facilitate the remediation of vulnerabilities across the network by collaborating with internal and external teams, as well as system owners.
Generate reports detailing key metrics and deliverables for Cybersecurity Operations, presenting findings to senior management.
Maintain a robust understanding of Threat Assessments, Risk Management, and Incident Response protocols.
Contribute to and uphold compliance with established policies, standards, and procedures.
Assist the Cybersecurity Office in audit processes and compliance reporting.
Work collaboratively with the Cybersecurity team to provide guidance on best practices.

A minimum of 4 years of university education in a relevant field such as Computer Science, complemented by 1 year of specialized study in Cybersecurity programs, is required.

Practical experience or familiarity with NERC CIP requirements or equivalent standards would be advantageous.
An advanced knowledge of computer sciences and cybersecurity principles is essential.
Candidates should possess knowledge acquired through security training organizations.
Practical experience in cybersecurity operations is necessary.
Familiarity with various cybersecurity systems and tools is expected.
Experience in managing stakeholder communications would be beneficial.
