About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance & Controls Associate Vice President to join our team at MUFG Bank, Ltd. This is a unique opportunity to work with a global financial institution and contribute to the development of our data governance framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Office of the Chief Data Officer (OCDO) in the implementation of the Report Inventory, Ownership and Tiering Control for MUFG Americas.
  • Coordinate the definition of requirements, communication, training, tooling, and execution of the Report Inventory, Ownership & Tiering Control with respective stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and complete report inventory, including change control.
  • Perform quality checks on report metadata to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with process requirements.
  • Support testing of report inventory review automation workflow through the development lifecycle.
  • Document and report process status updates, including training materials and artifacts to support audit activities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the data governance framework and processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, information management, business administration, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data governance, data quality, data management, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance principles, frameworks, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience in coordinating and facilitating data governance activities and forums.
  • Experience in working with data policies, standards, procedures, and controls.
  • Experience in working with data quality metrics, dashboards, and reports.
  • Risk and regulatory reporting experience is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBi, and Collibra.
