About the Role

Momentum is seeking a skilled and compassionate Developmental Service Worker to join our team. As a Developmental Service Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental health disabilities, and other special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide suicide and crisis intervention to individuals in need
  • Resolve conflict situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs, including personal hygiene and daily living tasks
  • Evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
  • Valid driver's licence and own vehicle
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Flexibility, initiative, and a team player attitude
