Financial Controller

Go2STAFFING is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations for a specialty chemical company with multiple international branches. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with experience in developing and implementing accounting policies, systems, and procedures.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the internal accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and systems to ensure company financial information is fairly stated.
- Prepare monthly income, receivables, payables, cash flow, and balance statements, and assist with planning of sales management activities.
- Communicate with customers on an as-needed basis and work closely with the Sales Leadership Team.
- Organize audits and assist external auditors as required, and work with external accounting firms on tax management and tax filings.
- Keep up to date with accounting changes in Canada, the US, and the EU, and create corporate metrics necessary to ensure targets are being met.
- Manage external communications to authorities, regulators, etc. on all financial matters, and build processes to add 'checks and balances' to all financial processes.
- Manage payroll (through ADP) and commission calculations and payout for staff, and liaise with, and coordinate the work of, external accountants.
- Attend and participate fully in internal management and all-staff meetings, and perform other related duties as required.
- Strong background in accounting and financial management, with experience in developing and implementing accounting policies, systems, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
