Financial Controller

Go2STAFFING is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations for a specialty chemical company with multiple international branches and several family-owned holding companies.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead the internal accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and systems to ensure company financial information is fairly stated.
- Prepare monthly income, receivables, payables, cash flow, and balance statements, and assist with planning of sales management activities.
- Communicate with customers on an as-needed basis and review expenses to ensure signoffs for all expense statements are obtained.
- Organize audits and assist external auditors as required, and work with external accounting firms on tax management and tax filings.
- Keep up to date with accounting changes in Canada, the US, and the EU, and create corporate metrics necessary to ensure targets are being met.
- Manage external communications to authorities, regulators, etc. on all financial matters, and build processes to add checks and balances to all financial processes.
- Manage payroll (through ADP) and commission calculations and payout for staff, and liaise with and coordinate the work of external accountants.
- Maintain and manage banking relationships and banking activities, and attend and participate fully in internal management and all-staff meetings.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage complex financial operations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work closely with the full Management Team and Regional Sales Directors.
- Ability to keep up to date with accounting changes in Canada, the US, and the EU, and create corporate metrics necessary to ensure targets are being met.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
