Security Supervisor - Southgate MallWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team at the Southgate Mall location. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough reviews of incident reports to ensure adherence to established protocols and site-specific guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Site Supervisor in developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for security personnel.
- Participate actively in meetings with clients and the Site Supervisor to address concerns, provide updates, and foster strong relationships.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to front-line security staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment while maintaining high morale.
- Supervise the daily operations of the security team, acting as a primary resource for resolving issues in accordance with Paladin and client policies and procedures.
- Monitor the performance of security personnel, providing constructive feedback, addressing performance gaps, and implementing disciplinary measures when necessary.
- Conduct regular patrols throughout the shopping center to ensure a secure environment and identify potential risks.
- Perform monthly audits of CCTV room operations, dispatcher offices, and client files to maintain compliance and accuracy.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to emergencies and security incidents outside of regular business hours.
- Manage site uniform inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and maintaining the quality and appearance of uniforms worn by security personnel.
- Communicate any operational issues or concerns directly to the Site Supervisor for prompt resolution.
- Schedule staff shifts and submit payroll discrepancies as required.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as filing and drafting memos, to support efficient operations.
- Possess a valid Alberta Security License or the ability to obtain one promptly.
- Be eligible for bonding due to the nature of the role.
- Have a minimum of three years of proven security experience, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity or possess a relevant post-secondary diploma/certificate.
- Hold a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving abstract and access to a personal vehicle for work purposes.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills, including the ability to plan, organize, delegate tasks effectively, and solve complex problems.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive and helpful demeanor in all interactions.
- Possess strong multi-tasking abilities and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Maintain physical fitness and stamina to perform the essential duties of the position.
- Have basic computer proficiency, including report writing, note-taking, and data entry skills.
While First Aid/AED/CPR, NVCI, and PPCT training are considered assets, Paladin Security is committed to providing comprehensive training to the successful candidate.
