As the Lead Cyber Security and IT Risk Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in the successful development and implementation of a second line of defense program for Cyber Security and IT risk. Your responsibilities will include evaluating risk management practices executed by the first lines of defense, conducting quantitative analyses of potential threats and vulnerabilities that could affect global IT operations and business processes, ensuring compliance with the organization's risk appetite for Cyber Security and IT services.
You will be instrumental in the development and execution of a second line of defense function within the Global Cyber Security and IT Risk Management Program. Additionally, you will provide independent assessments and oversight of risk management practices conducted by the first line of defense.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) in Information/Cyber Security and Risk.
- Demonstrate executive-level reporting and presentation skills, simplifying complex technical issues into clear executive summaries.
- Analyze various data sources to identify and address critical business issues.
- Work independently and lead a team to deliver key initiatives from inception to completion under tight deadlines.
- Provide objective evaluations and oversight of risk management practices to ensure that the organization's processes and controls related to Cyber Security and IT Risks are adequate for maintaining system operations, data integrity, and confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Advise IT, Security, and other control functions on Cyber Security and IT Risk management processes, reviewing and providing guidance on policy frameworks, standards, and control objectives to foster a risk-aware culture.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate information sharing and support complementary risk oversight initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to distill complex data into concise messages and conclusions.
- A Master's degree or higher in a relevant field such as science, technology, engineering, or business administration is advantageous.
- Over 5 years of experience in Technology or Operational Risk Management, IT Audit, IT Compliance, regulatory supervision, consulting, or advisory roles.
- Experience in IT Operations and Information/Cybersecurity risk management is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and relationship-building skills to engage with senior management and regional risk teams.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, NIST, or other industry standards.
- Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) risk management tools.
- Professional certifications such as CRISC, CISA, CISSP, CISM, etc., are beneficial.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and executing change initiatives.
- Proficiency in Spanish is required.
