About the Role

Munich Re is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Risk Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Enterprise Risk Management team, you will play a critical role in identifying, prioritizing, and mitigating cyber security risks across our Life and Health North America entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of our Information Security Management (ISM) policies and guidelines
  • Collaborate with our VP ERM and Cluster ISO to ensure the effective adoption of our IS Strategy, ISM Policy, and Guidelines
  • Execute prioritized initiatives for Cyber Security, focusing on Life and Health North America
  • Support local data protection initiatives, including data masking, unstructured data security, access management, and data leakage prevention
  • Develop and maintain a cyber risk dashboard, providing regular updates to key stakeholders
  • Conduct ad hoc cyber risk assessments and support client security requests
  • Support data flow discovery and data residency efforts
  • Participate in risk and security forums, monitoring the cyber security and regulatory landscape
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and regulatory audits
  • Support Third Party Risk Management activities and align security with business strategy
  • Communicate and enforce local and global Cyber Risk policies and guidelines
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a relevant field, with an IT Security Management certificate as an asset
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in implementing cyber risk processes and frameworks
  • Other information security designations, such as CRISC, CISM, CEH, or CISA, would be beneficial
  • Demonstrated experience in security risk and compliance management, client contacts, and contract review
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory compliance and data privacy requirements, including GDPR and PIPEDA
  • Sound knowledge of internationally recognized information security standards and frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27000 family and NIST CSF
