About the Role

Munich Re is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Risk Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Enterprise Risk Management team, you will play a critical role in identifying, prioritizing, and mitigating cyber security risks across our Life and Health North America entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the second line of defense for Cyber Security, providing expert guidance and support to our business units.
  • Develop and implement effective cyber security risk management strategies, aligned with Munich Re's Information Security Management (ISM) policies and guidelines.
  • Support the adoption of internationally recognized information security standards and frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27000 family and NIST CSF.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize cyber security risks, and develop mitigation plans to address these risks.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on cyber security risk management, including threat detection, incident response, and security awareness training.
  • Support the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Participate in security audits and risk assessments, and provide recommendations for process improvements and automation.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cyber threats and regulatory requirements, and provide expert guidance on how to mitigate these risks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a relevant field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proven experience in implementing cyber risk processes and frameworks, with a strong understanding of information security standards and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and data privacy requirements, including GDPR and PIPEDA.
