This department plays a crucial role in enhancing the experience of students, faculty, and external partners by delivering high-quality services and exploring new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

The Manager of Finance will:

  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
  • Forecast financial performance and analyze variances.
  • Implement business process enhancements.
  • Ensure financial integrity through robust controls.
  • Oversee human resources functions for administrative staff.
  • Collaborate with the management team on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A university degree along with a professional accounting designation or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of progressive experience in financial management, ideally within a higher education context.
  • Proven track record in managing complex budgets and providing strategic financial advice.
  • Experience in a unionized environment is preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
