Job Title: Senior Manager, Donor Relations

Perimeter Institute is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Donor Relations to join our Advancement team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about advancing the Institute's mission.

About the Role

The Senior Manager, Donor Relations will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive donor relations strategy that fosters strong relationships with our donors and stakeholders. This will involve working closely with our scientists, staff, and volunteers to create meaningful experiences that connect our donors with the Institute's research and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a donor relations strategy that aligns with the Institute's overall advancement goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our donors, including regular communication, stewardship, and recognition
  • Collaborate with our scientists and staff to create meaningful experiences for our donors, including events, visits, and updates
  • Manage the donor recognition program, including the design and production of impact reports and other recognition materials
  • Work with our development team to ensure that donor gifts are acknowledged and recognized in a timely and meaningful way
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our volunteers and other stakeholders to ensure their engagement and support
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in development, donor relations, or a related field
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful donor relations strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, scientists, and staff
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of organization and attention to detail
  • Proficient in CRM software and other technologies used in development and donor relations
