About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Site Inspector/Contract Administrator to join our team at WSP Canada. As a key member of our Electrical team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contract documents, evaluating contractor performance, and verifying project deliverables and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with contract documents and evaluate contractor performance
  • Collaborate with clients, municipalities, and project managers to prepare and review contract documents and resolve contractual and construction issues
  • Review and prepare contract documents, including supplementary general conditions, specifications, and drawings
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding project status, site issues, and quality assurance
  • Assist and support the Project Manager and Contract Administrator with general site-related responses, including requests for information, quotations, and site instructions
  • Oversee change requests and claims, and participate in the payment certificate review process and management of responses to contractor-related inquiries
  • Lead by example and ensure staff complete tasks in accordance with WSP's safety policies and procedures, and legislative requirements
Requirements
  • Electrical Technology/Technical Diploma or Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent
  • 10 years of experience in site inspection, with knowledge of construction industry standards and guidelines
  • Preferred experience in water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs, and transfer facilities
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills, with particular attention to detail and accuracy of field notes
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal formats
  • Driver's license and knowledge of MS Office suite of products
  • Knowledge of industry safety-oriented regulations, including OSHEA and WHIMIS
