About the Opportunity

The Water and Wastewater team at WSP Canada is seeking a Senior Electrical Site Inspector/Contract Administrator to join our Electrical team in Thornhill. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for site inspection and contract administration tasks related to the design, construction, and post-construction phases of water and wastewater infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with contract documents and evaluate contractor performance.
  • Collaborate with clients, municipalities, and project managers to prepare and review contract documents and resolve contractual and construction issues.
  • Review and prepare contract documents, including supplementary general conditions, specifications, and drawings.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding project status, site issues, and quality assurance.
  • Assist the Project Manager and Contract Administrator with site-related responses to requests for information, quotations, and site instructions.
  • Oversee change requests and claims, and participate in the payment certificate review process.
Requirements
  • Electrical Technology/Technical Diploma or Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent.
  • 10 years of experience in site inspection, with knowledge of construction industry standards and guidelines.
  • Preferred experience in water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs, and transfer facilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in field notes.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal formats.
  • Driver's license and proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Knowledge of industry safety regulations, including OSHEA and WHIMIS.
