Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Project Superintendent to plan, coordinate, and oversee construction activities, including workforce and equipment management.
  • Ensure adherence to the Occupational Health & Safety Act and related regulations by implementing the company's health and safety management system.
  • Maintain and oversee project plans, specifications, cost estimates, and subcontractor reports.
  • Develop, monitor, and update construction schedules as necessary.
  • Manage cost control processes by tracking daily progress and processing time cards and material invoices.
  • Coordinate the procurement of construction materials, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of orders.
  • Facilitate progress payment certifications and manage additional work orders as per contractual agreements.
  • Analyze productivity and material yield metrics.
  • Conduct field services as required throughout the construction process.
  • Maintain a daily project diary for record-keeping.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Educational Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Technician with relevant experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Standard work hours of 50 per week, with potential overtime and night shifts as required.
  • On-site work from a construction trailer.
  • Travel to and from job sites as necessary.
  • Regular exposure to construction environments, including heavy machinery and varying weather conditions.

Position Requirements:

  • Valid full class G driver's license.
  • Relocation expenses are the responsibility of the applicant.
  • Demonstrated urgency and commitment to achieving project goals.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and generating effective solutions promptly.
  • Excellent communication skills, fostering an open and honest team environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a highly skilled team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
