Job Title: Genomic Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Genomic Analyst to join our team at the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing timely and accurate diagnostic test results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the validation and verification of clinical next-generation sequencing (NGS) bioinformatic pipelines.
  • Prioritize and classify genetic variants to ensure accurate diagnostic results.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of medical and technologist staff to achieve shared goals.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, quality control, and quality assurance services.
Requirements:
  • PhD in Human Genetics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Molecular Biology, or equivalent field.
  • Two years of post-doctoral or equivalent experience in NGS analysis and variant assessment.
  • Expertise in bioinformatic tools and databases, with a strong understanding of genetic variant interpretation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with individuals at all levels.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects.
