Job Title: Line Cook

Adecco Canada is seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our team in a dynamic kitchen environment. As a key member of our Food Services team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals to our valued customers.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Line Cook who is passionate about culinary artistry and has a strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in a casual restaurant, fine dining restaurant, or retirement home, and will possess a thorough knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Create delicious salads and assemble premade options like sandwiches.
  • Portion products, such as vegetables and meats, to ensure accurate meal preparation.
  • Utilize various kitchen equipment, such as grill tops, fryers, stoves, ovens, etc., to cook and prepare meals.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Monitor and replenish stock to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and wear proper PPE, including hats, hairnets, and beard nets, while handling food.
  • Accept additional shifts outside the regular schedule to meet operational demands.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Line Cook in a casual restaurant, fine dining restaurant, or retirement home.
  • Thorough knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Willingness to wear the uniform and required PPE onsite.
