About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Cardiology Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests, including electrocardiograms, signal average electrocardiograms, ambulatory monitoring, and exercise tolerance testing. The technologist will also be responsible for preparing patients for ambulatory monitoring and stress testing, and will work under the direct supervision of a cardiologist.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in cardiology technology, who is registered with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists and has current BLS (HCP) certification. The ideal candidate will have recent clinical experience in an ECG department and demonstrated proficiency in performing EKGs, Holter monitors, and stress testing. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as the technologist will be working with patients, healthcare professionals, and other team members.

Hours

This is a permanent full-time position, with a 75-hour biweekly schedule. Shift work is required, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan. The salary range for this position is $28.71 - $30.83 hourly.
