Property Transfer Specialist

We are looking for an individual with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in property transactions who can independently handle files related to purchases, sales, and refinancing.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing files from initial client engagement through to the final closing stages. Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting client intake
  • Initiating files on eConveyance
  • Requesting strata documentation
  • Securing insurance binders
  • Acquiring payout statements from financial institutions
  • Inputting financial data into our accounting system (Unity Accounting)
  • Drafting necessary purchase, sale, and financing documents
  • Preparing files for review by the supervising attorney and incorporating feedback
  • Generating and verifying trust reconciliations
  • Submitting filings to the Land Title Office
  • Creating invoices and recording transactions in accounting software
Compensation:

$70,000

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain professionalism and courtesy towards colleagues and clients
  • Demonstrate accountability and ownership of assigned tasks
  • Uphold solicitor-client confidentiality
  • Compose polite and informative correspondence
  • Manage outgoing mail and courier services
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Word and Outlook, is required
  • Familiarity with Unity Law and eConveyance is advantageous but not mandatory
  • A minimum of four years of experience in a legal or notary setting is necessary
  • A proactive and positive demeanor is highly valued
