The Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst to become a vital member of our Analyst team within our financial services division in Montreal.

As a member of our Montreal team, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Conducting analysis and process optimization, managing projects, and evaluating solutions, including 'Buy vs Build' assessments.
  2. Participating in the application of Agile/Scrum methodologies to design and develop products alongside our internal developers, managing change, providing user training, and offering application support.
  3. Collaborating with key business sectors such as accounting and investor management for Hedge Fund & Private Equity clients, creating interactive dashboards for Institutional clients, and processing regulatory and compliance data (e.g., FATCA, CRS, and AML), managing wire payment workflows, monitoring risks, and ensuring secure bank connectivity.

The ideal candidate will possess high ethical standards and the ability to work autonomously, along with the following qualifications:

  1. Proven ability to leverage existing financial services expertise, self-manage, and take ownership to deliver results with discipline.
  2. Strong analytical skills to effectively identify root causes and gaps.
  3. Exceptional planning skills to manage both project and operational risks, with the ability to communicate effectively among clients, business units, and technology teams.
  4. Innovative mindset with a passion for technology and generating new ideas.
  5. A minimum of six years of experience in the Financial Services industry.
  6. An undergraduate or graduate degree relevant to Financial Services or Information Technology.
  7. Professional qualification in business analysis (e.g., IIBA CBAP) is preferred but not mandatory.
  8. Willingness to travel as needed.
