Job Opportunity

Collingwood General and Marine Hospital is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, evaluating patients, and recommending treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Respiratory Therapy coverage to the hospital, including the adult, pediatric, and neonatal population.
  • Evaluate patients and recommend treatment plans.
  • Teach and counsel patients and families.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement.
  • Perform timely and accurate documentation.
  • Perform Electrocardiogram (ECG) tests.
  • Conduct pulmonary function testing.

Requirements

  • College Diploma from Respiratory Program.
  • CBRC exam completed.
  • General Certificate of Registration with the CRTO.
  • Current NRP, ACLS, and BCLS certifications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Dedication to professional growth and development.
  • Ability to perform all bona fide duties of the position, including physical demands.
  • Excellent attendance and performance record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PALS certification.
  • CRE certification.
