Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team at Canadian Addiction Treatment Centres. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate distribution of medications to patients and implementing clinical activities under the guidance of the Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to professional standards and regulations, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
  • Complete required professional development activities to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in pharmacy practice.
  • Provide evidence-based patient care, prioritizing the well-being and safety of our patients.
  • Respond to referrals efficiently, ensuring timely and effective communication with healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in community initiatives, fostering partnerships with local healthcare organizations and community groups.
  • Deliver flu injections, promoting public health and preventing the spread of infectious diseases.
  • Foster relationships with physicians and staff, building a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Maintain pharmacy standards, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Ensure staff have necessary resources, providing ongoing support and training to optimize performance.

Requirements:

  • Pharmacist Registration with the OCP, demonstrating a commitment to professional excellence.
  • CAMH Opioid Dependence Treatment Certification, showcasing expertise in addiction medicine.
  • Experience using Kroll Pharmacy Software, leveraging technology to streamline pharmacy operations.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certification, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Injection Certification, demonstrating proficiency in administering injections.
  • Patient-centered practice skills, prioritizing the needs and preferences of our patients.
  • Leadership and decision-making skills, driving positive change and innovation in our organization.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, effectively managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Vaccination against COVID-19, prioritizing the health and safety of our patients and staff.
