Job Title: Licensed Maintenance Worker - HVAC

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Maintenance Worker - HVAC to join our team at the York Catholic District School Board. As a key member of our Facilities Services Unit, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC systems at our school sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and keep accurate records.
  • Install, inspect, and replace HVAC equipment as needed.
  • Assist Community Use of Schools Permit Holders and report any misuse of property or equipment.
  • Ensure the security of school facilities and respond to emergencies after hours.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 Diploma
  • Current provincial Certificate of Qualifications as a 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic
  • Minimum five years' experience performing installations, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems
  • Class "G" Ontario Driver's License in good standing
  • Thorough and current knowledge of the standards, practices, regulations, methods, tools, and equipment of the trade
