Position Overview
As a Registered Medical Imaging Technologist specializing in General X-Ray, your primary responsibility will be to conduct imaging examinations that adhere to the established standards of the Department and the CMRITO. Your proficiency in operating imaging equipment, along with your effective listening and direction-taking skills, will be essential in this role.Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
Execute all necessary imaging examinations as directed, along with additional tasks assigned by supervisory staff. Implement appropriate health, safety, and radiation protection protocols for patients, staff, and visitors. Assume operational oversight during your shift. Provide assistance to the Radiologist as needed. Maintain proper care for imaging equipment, rooms, and supplies. Comply with the established policies and procedures of the Medical Imaging Department at North York General Hospital.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should possess: Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO). BCLS certification is advantageous. Preferred post-graduate experience in a hospital environment. Membership with the CAMRT is recommended. Experience in CT imaging is beneficial. Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.

This is a Full-Time Temporary position with 8-hour shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call duties in the General X-ray and General Radiography department. We provide a competitive total compensation package that includes benefits, pension, and vacation.

As a condition of employment, proof of COVID-19 vaccination must be submitted to the Hospital's Occupational Health and Safety department.
