As a Registered Technologist, Medical Imaging, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Your goal will be to perform imaging examinations in General X-Ray that meet the highest standards of the Department and the CMRITO. You will operate imaging equipment, listen to direction, and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Your ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment will be essential. This position supports the Hospital's academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning and/or transforming care through research and innovation. You will contribute to the shared responsibility of ensuring health and safety policies are followed to provide a healthy environment for staff, physicians, volunteers, learners, patients, and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all imaging examinations as required, and other duties as requested by supervisory personnel
  • Implement proper procedures for patients, employees, and visitors
  • Assume operational responsibility when on shift
  • Assist the Radiologist when required
  • Follow proper procedures for care of equipment, imaging rooms, and supplies
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures of the Department of Medical Imaging at North York General Hospital

Qualifications

  • Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • BCLS certification an asset
  • Post-graduate experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • Membership with the CAMRT is recommended
  • Experience in CT is an asset
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset

This is a Part Time Casual position, with 4, 6 & 8-hour shifts, days, evenings, nights, including weekends, On an as needed basis, and on call shifts in the General X-ray, General Radiography department.
