About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at 13546063 Canada Inc. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Prepare Layouts: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Measure and Cut Materials: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to meet project specifications.
  • Prepare Tenders and Quotations: Prepare tenders and quotations for clients, estimating costs and materials required for each project.
  • Install and Fit Components: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Coordinate Work Sites: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Survey Building Locations: Survey building locations and levels to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Supervise and Train: Supervise and train other workers to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Estimate Costs and Materials: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, ensuring that the company remains profitable and competitive.
  • Maintain and Repair Structures: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and physical demands, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Work Environment: The work environment is noisy and dusty, requiring the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
