Medical Science Liaison

At GSK, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our team in Ontario East and Atlantic Canada.
Job Summary:The Medical Science Liaison will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of our products through impactful scientific interactions and support of key external and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain scientific peer-to-peer relationships with key external experts by presenting balanced scientific data and providing scientific support.
- Be recognized as the scientific field-based partner in the territory and maintain a deep understanding and knowledge of diseases, vaccines, treatments, and the competitive landscape.
- Engage and provide value across a continuum of both internal and external stakeholders in a non-promotional manner and be responsive to unsolicited inquiries.
- Be a proactive and solutions-oriented partner as the primary interface between the healthcare community and the internal cross-functional GSK teams.
- Represent GSK at scientific congresses by leading external expert engagement plans and providing session/abstract coverage.
- Provide scientific training for GSK commercial colleagues regarding GSK products and the conditions they treat.
- Assist the medical, clinical and HEOR teams with evidence generation projects as needed.
- Advanced post-graduate scientific degree (MD, Ph.D., PharmD) and excellent English scientific/medical discussion skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on cross-functional teamwork and strategic execution of medical affairs plan.
- Knowledge of regulations governing medical information exchange with healthcare professionals within the Canadian pharmaceutical environment.
- Sound negotiation, territory and team leadership, and organization skills.
- Familiarity with reimbursement processes in Canada.
- A valid driver's license is required for this field-based position.
