Geriatric Psychiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking a part-time Geriatric Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team in providing consultation to patients and their families/caregivers, primary care physicians, and fellow health care professionals in various settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and clinical expertise to the GEM team, a geriatric consultation-liaison program in acute care.
  • Collaborate with other health care professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for complex patients.
  • Participate in clinical service, teaching, and ongoing program development as part of the Island-wide Dementia Strategy.
  • Contribute to the NRGH General Psychiatry call rotation, with a commitment of approximately 1 in 11.
  • Encouraged to participate in the Island Medical Program undergraduate and postgraduate teaching program.
