Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Whispers of Hope Benevolence Association. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize tables, trays, and chairs, as well as wash dishes and other items by hand.
- Food Preparation: Package take-out food, portion and wrap foods, and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
- Inventory Management: Handle and store cleaning products, remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain stock rotation.
- Customer Service: Serve food and beverages, and record transactions.
- Food Safety: Prepare and serve nutritious meals, and enforce regulations to maintain order and resolve conflicts.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Work Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 13 hours per week.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
- Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods and working under pressure.
- Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
