Job Title: Kitchen Helper

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Whispers of Hope Benevolence Association.

Job Summary:

The Kitchen Helper will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, preparing and serving nutritious meals, and assisting with food preparation and presentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
  • Package take-out food
  • Portion and wrap foods
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
  • Handle and store cleaning products
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
  • Serve food and beverages
  • Record transactions
Requirements:
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Work Environment:

The Kitchen Helper will work in a community service organization, social service, or charity agency setting.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

The work schedule is 13 hours per week.
