Job Summary:

The Central Spryfield Elementary is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator - Support to join our team. As a key member of our educational staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for our young students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Early Childhood Educator in understanding and responding to the children's learning needs.
  • Support the preparation of materials and the arrangement of learning centers.
  • Observe and record the children's activities and progress within the program.
  • Represent the work of the children and facilitate their movement between activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Lead Educator to create a safe, respectful, and stimulating environment.

Requirements:

  • Diploma, certificate, or degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognized institution.
  • ECE Level 2 Classification or ECE Level 1 Classification combined with a minimum of one year of experience working with pre-school children in a childcare environment.
  • Recent experience working with pre-school children within the past five years.
  • Current Certification in First Aid.
  • Training and/or experience in a play-based learning environment is an asset.
