Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Mechanic to join our team in Victoria, British Columbia. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for safely repairing, rebuilding, and performing maintenance on our fleet of heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely repair and maintain Company-owned or leased heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment.
  • Maintain Standard Repair Times and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Assist in training and growing our apprentice base.
  • Complete thorough and accurate Preventative Maintenance forms.
  • Keep accurate work notes and complete work orders on time in the Fleet Management Software system.
  • Effectively communicate with drivers through Electronic DVIRs.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.

Requirements

  • Red Seal Certification or equivalent qualification in Commercial Transport Mechanics.
  • Hydraulic diagnostic and experience.
  • Cummins, Mack, and Allison experience preferred.
  • Cummins Insite, Mack Tech Tool, Allison DOC, and Isuzu IDSS software experience.
  • Basic hand tools up to and including 1/2".

Shift Schedule

4x10hr shifts on a 2-week rotation, with varying shifts including:

  • M-Th 7am-5:30pm.
  • M-Th 10am-8:30pm.
  • W-Sat 7am-5:30pm.
  • Tue-F 10am-8:30pm.

Shift Highlights

5 consecutive days off every 8 weeks and never less than 2 consecutive days off on any rotational switch.
