Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a team of child care professionals to create a inclusive and supportive environment for children with diverse needs and abilities.
  • Provide exceptional care and support to children and their families, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and families, keeping them informed about their child's progress and well-being.
  • Develop and implement engaging and interactive programs that promote learning and development in children.
  • Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times, working independently and as part of a team.
  • Comply with provincial, municipal, and YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to child safety and well-being.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • Early Childhood Educator Diploma (for Registered Early Childhood Educator role)
  • Registered (or in process) with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
  • Degree or Diploma in Child and Youth Work, Child and Youth Care, or related field (for Early Learning Facilitator role)
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification
  • Up-to-date immunizations
  • Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 20 kg (44 lbs)
  • Flexibility and adaptability in working hours
