This role reports to the Director of the Maintenance Department and is responsible for managing a team of ten (10) unionized electrical personnel. The Supervisor is tasked with the daily and monthly scheduling of maintenance, repairs, and electrical modifications for facilities and operational machinery. As a leader, the individual spearheads initiatives aimed at optimizing and improving the efficiency of electrical services.
Key Management Responsibilities:
- Plans, directs, and oversees the work and human resources within the department by establishing priorities and addressing urgent situations.
- Communicates clear expectations to team members to enhance operational efficiency and reduce production interruptions.
- Provides technical guidance in the relevant field of expertise.
- Ensures adherence to health, safety, and electrical regulations for staff during procedures and activities.
- Collaborates with the Maintenance Director to evaluate employee performance and set specific KPIs as necessary.
- Consistently applies the terms of the existing collective agreement.
- Engages in projects aimed at enhancing departmental operations.
- Available to respond to urgent situations as needed.
Educational Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in instrumentation control or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Possession of a C License and A2 certification is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Quebec Construction Code, Chapter V - Electricity.
