Job OverviewThe Electrical Supervisor reports to the Electrical Superintendent and supports a team of electricians responsible for electrical maintenance at our Thermal Plant.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with health and safety, environmental, and quality standards and objectives.
- Proactively promote the health and safety of workers through regular safety meetings, prevention initiatives, and awareness programs.
- Empower employees to contribute to the Plant's orientations.
- Plan and execute maintenance work to meet internal client needs.
- Establish and monitor a preventative maintenance program to optimize equipment efficiency and availability.
- Cultivate close working relationships between the team and internal clients within the Plant.
- Organize and follow up on electricians' skills development.
- Function as a resource person for the Department.
- Maintain all databases related to electrical equipment up to date (lists of cables, motors, instruments, etc.).
- Establish work schedules for electricians.
Requirements
- Diploma of college studies (CEGEP) in electricity.
- Hold a Class C Electrician Certificate.
Experience
- Three years of experience in managing and supervising personnel.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrate a high degree of autonomy, leadership, and initiative and have good organizational skills.
- Good communication skills.
Languages
- Bilingual (French and English).
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
