AP/AR Clerk Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented AP/AR Clerk to join our team at the BC SPCA. As an AP/AR Clerk, you will be responsible for processing and managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices and revenue reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and enter invoices and expense claims into accounting software
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and maintain accurate records
  • Collate backup documents and reports for high-volume cheque runs
  • Distribute cheques in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Assist with payables requirements for interim and year-end audit processes
  • Process and enter revenue and bank information into accounting software
  • Reconcile bank accounts belonging to non-unionized locations
  • Maintain accurate records of invoices and payments
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years accounts payable or receivables experience
  • Strong computer skills, including intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office suite proficiency
  • Experience with Financial Edge an asset
  • Good command of the English language - verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member with minimum supervision
  • Ability to prioritize demands on time
  • Must be flexible to perform a variety of duties
