About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Supervisor to join our team at Portfolio Contracting Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of carpentry components on various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of carpentry teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Prepare and review production reports to identify areas for improvement and optimize workflows.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement project plans, including scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Train and mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Estimate material costs and quantities to ensure accurate budgeting and minimize waste.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to requisition materials and equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in carpentry or a related field, with a focus on supervision or project management.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
