Job Summary:

The Coast Hotels Room Attendant will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our hotel are consistently met. This position requires a team player who can maintain a positive work environment and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and discuss room assignment sheets with the Housekeeping Supervisor at the start of each shift.
  • Adhere to safety regulations, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
  • Follow Coast Hotels procedures for cleaning and preparing guest rooms.
  • Change linens in assigned rooms according to established policies.
  • Ensure all room amenities are in place and that all drapes, sheers, windows, and balcony doors are closed and locked before completing the room.
  • Conduct daily inspections of assigned rooms for deficiencies and complete work orders for the maintenance department as needed.
  • Conduct room checks and inform Housekeeping of any discrepancies.
  • Turn in lost and found items to the Housekeeping Office immediately upon leaving an assigned floor.
  • Ensure the housekeeping cart is fully supplied and that all necessary supplies and equipment are in good working order.
  • Sort recyclable items according to Coast Hotels' recycling program guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position is an asset.
  • Successful completion of high school education is preferred, but a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 40 pounds, stand and/or walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive foot and hand actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking team environment.
  • Demonstrated superior customer service philosophy.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Exemplifies Coast's core values and enjoys working in a culture of accountability.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
