About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at PCL Constructors Canada Inc. in Fredericton, New Brunswick. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including employees, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor and report on health and safety metrics and trends to inform business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Working towards a safety designation, such as CRSP or CHSC.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related industry.
  • Knowledge of applicable OH&S legislation and regulations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
