Position Overview:

The role of an AI Scientist within the AI Factory team at National Bank involves being a key player in the creation and management of cutting-edge AI systems, including generative AI. Your expertise in AI model development, identifying business opportunities, conducting statistical analyses, and automating AI solutions will significantly enhance the Bank's customer experience, profitability, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the AI expert on various projects.
  • Design and implement innovative AI systems that provide competitive advantages.
  • Utilize best practices in AI performance evaluation to guide technological decisions.
  • Maintain the quality and reliability of AI systems in production.
  • Meet delivery and satisfaction targets for internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Educate colleagues on regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and responsible AI practices.
  • Mentor interns and junior scientists on advanced techniques and best practices.
  • Engage in research and development through partnerships with academic institutions.
  • Promote a culture of AI transformation within the organization.

Team Dynamics:

As part of a technology sector team of 20, you will report to the Senior Director of the AI Factory. Our team is recognized for its expertise in artificial intelligence, commitment to quality delivery, and collaborative spirit.

Work Environment:

This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our downtown offices to foster essential professional relationships necessary for implementing technological innovations.

Professional Development:

As an AI Scientist, you will have opportunities to enhance both your technical and interpersonal skills, with access to online training, mentoring, and continuous feedback. You will also engage in academic research collaborations and participate in AI-related events such as hackathons and conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD in artificial intelligence, computer science, statistics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and deploying AI systems in complex business environments.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, various AI libraries, and at least one additional programming language (e.g., Java).
  • Strong understanding of modeling and machine learning techniques, including regression, classification, clustering, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
  • Experience with systems utilizing large language models.

Language Requirements:

Fluency in English and French is necessary for effective communication with service providers and partners.
