Position Overview:

As a Senior AI Scientist within the AI Factory team at National Bank, you will serve as a key expert in the design and execution of cutting-edge AI systems, including generative AI technologies. Your expertise in AI model development, identification of business opportunities, statistical analysis, and automated AI operations will significantly enhance the Bank's customer experience, profitability, and digital transformation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary authority on AI for the projects you are involved in.
  • Innovate and develop AI systems that provide a competitive edge.
  • Implement best practices for AI performance evaluation to guide optimal technological decisions.
  • Ensure the reliability and quality of AI systems in production environments.
  • Meet delivery and satisfaction targets for internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Educate colleagues on regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and responsible AI practices.
  • Mentor interns and junior scientists on advanced techniques and best practices.
  • Engage in research and development initiatives through partnerships with academic institutions.
  • Promote a culture of AI transformation within the organization.

Team Dynamics:

You will be part of a technology team consisting of 20 professionals, reporting to the Senior Director of the AI Factory. Our team is recognized for its expertise in artificial intelligence, quality delivery, customer experience, creativity, and collaborative spirit.

Professional Development:

This hybrid position requires regular presence at our offices to foster essential professional relationships necessary for implementing innovative technologies. As an AI Scientist, you will have opportunities to enhance your technical, interpersonal, and project management skills through online training, mentoring, and continuous feedback. You will also have access to academic research partnerships and AI communities.

Networking Opportunities:

Participation in internal and external AI-related events, such as hackathons, conferences, and workshops, will allow you to expand your professional network, share knowledge, and stay updated on the latest advancements in AI.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in artificial intelligence, computer science, statistics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and deploying AI systems in complex business environments.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, a variety of AI libraries, and at least one additional programming language (e.g., Java).
  • Comprehensive understanding of modeling and machine learning techniques, including regression, classification, clustering, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
  • Experience with systems utilizing large language models.

Language Requirements:

Fluency in English and French is essential, as frequent communication with service providers and partners in various languages is required.
