Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Laboratory Technician to join our team at Magnum Cementing Services. As a key member of our technical services department, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing laboratory operations, ensuring the highest quality standards, and providing technical expertise to support our business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of laboratory technicians, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Conduct quality control checks, analyze data, and provide reports to engineering and sales divisions.
  • Develop and implement new laboratory procedures, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Laboratory Manager to plan and prepare for laboratory expansion, growth, and budgeting requirements.
  • Ensure clear and concise communication across the laboratory department.
  • Participate in the training of Magnum technical and operations staff.
  • Maintain all policies and procedures for the laboratory, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a research and development laboratory environment.
  • Proven ability to direct and motivate a team, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to apply judgment in handling hazardous chemicals, with knowledge of chemical properties.
  • High level of professional conduct, customer service orientation, and a strong work ethic.
